Campus Ministry

Bishop McGann-Mercy High School embodies the spirit of Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, and Bishop John R. McGann, the second Bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.  These two disciples teach us to find true joy in serving Christ by serving others.

The Campus Ministry Program provides our students with the opportunity to build upon their Catholic identity and become actively involved in their faith through service toward one another.  Campus Ministry is involved in liturgical planning, service opportunities, training in Extraordinary Ministry of Holy Communion, retreats and leadership formation.  We encounter Jesus through the Celebration of the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  Our campus ministry staff and Theology teachers encourage us to be a people of faith, education, service, and friendship while seeking to help each other to be witnesses of Christ to the world.
