Welcome to Bishop McGann-Mercy Diocesan High School! Since 1956, our school has offered young women and men from the East End of Long Island a quality education - one that challenges them academically as it nurtures them spiritually, morally and physically. We are a small school that offers personal attention and care. At the same time we offer our students a variety of activities and athletic opportunities that are available at a larger school.
We are a school and a community filled with joy, faith, and a sense of purpose. Founded by the Sisters and Mercy and sponsored now by the Diocese of Rockville Centre, McGann-Mercy is a school community that understands, as children of God, we were given unique gifts and talents. Because of this, our students are invited to explore and develop those talents for themselves and a betterment of the world.
At McGann-Mercy High School, you will encounter a talented and hardworking faculty and staff that are focused on educating and serving our students. Together our faculty, staff, and coaches work to bring out the best in our students. Since we are a small student centered high school, our students learn to multitask as they participate in a wide variety of clubs, activities, and teams.
This year we are grateful for the expanded and renovated tennis courts named in memory of Keith Goodale from the Class of 1995. These courts are a wonderful addition to our 24 acre gated campus. This September, we also welcomed a fine group of new faculty to our seasoned team. I am sure they will be a positive addition to the McGann-Mercy experience.
As you explore our website and Facebook page or visit our campus, I hope you will catch a bit of our unique spirit!
